crazy problem, exp. swappers help!
i've done three dpfi-to-mpfi swaps. and the first two went pretty good. but my latest one has got me scratchin my head. i hooked everything up, checked it about twenty times, and even swapped dist. and ecu's. but i can't get rid of a crank angle sensor code and a tps code.
the car runs good, but i can't shake these codes. the tps code should be easy, i'll use an ohmeter, adjust it and that will probably fix it. but if there tied together some way then im going to be going in circles. please help

u remembered to switch the wires on the tps right?
i guess just go back and make sure all your pinout work at the ecu is correct... then use a volt mever from c1 and c2 at the ecu to the dizzy and make sure u have the right wires going to the right place ... check for bad connections as well.....

i had the same problem... all u have to do is relocate the wires u took out of c1 and c2...(i think and hook those wires up to hmmmm i think its like b10 and b12.. but if
its c1 to b10
and c2 to b12
keep in mind that these are the wires u depinned from c1 and c2.. and if that dont work.. which it didnt for me
swap the wires around.. c2 to b10 etc
have fun

I swapped in a z6 and i have the crank angle cel as well...so does my friend who just did his too. I've checked and rechecked all of the wires, and i think my dizzy is shot. Also, the motor that was in before was a multi-port swap, and it ran fine...no codes, nuthin. So, we're kinda in the same boat. I would say get a chilton, and run through the ohms tests for the dizzy's sensors...could be a faulty one there somewhere.

Re:crazy problem, exp. swappers help!
i got the crank angle code by running the wires again, but the wires tps were fine, so i had to run the yellow and red wires from the ecu to the sensor and then splice in to the existing yellow wire at the ecu to fix the problem. it turns out the map sensor is kinda on the same circut. so basically i hit it from the back door, probably bypassing a ---- up connection or ground.

So all you did was run all new wires and that got rid of your codes? I think i'm gonna try that and see what happens then. It could very well be shitty wires on my dizzy, seeing that they've been cut and hacked up about a million and one times
