thats why you pop the joint so you can get the axle out of the way...this is what i did about a week ago when i lifted the trans in there no prob by hand

I'm suppose to swap out my tranny this week. Popping the axle out of the tranny seems to be the fastest way for me to swap a tranny.

lol what other way is there...leaving the axle in the trans and taking it just out of the hub?

I never take it out of the hub, that's what i'm talking about. I pop it out of the tranny.

And i don't get why ppl take it out of the hub? Is there a reason for that?

hmm it does sound easier to leave the axle nut in and just move it a bit out of the way by removing lower balljoint bolt. Going to have to give it a try when doing my clutch.
