Default Clutch conversion

After installing a Heavy Duty pressure plate on my 91' D16A6, I noticed the clutch pedal is VERY stiff. Im concerned about the cable snapping. I mean its so stiff I dont enjoy driving the car all that much anymore. (I live in NYC where there is a stop light at every corner)
Does anyone have any suggestions how I would be able to use less effort in the pedal feel?
LMK
Thanks

I installed a Clutch Specialties Stage II Street Disc with H.D. Pressure plate, and then had to use washers to act as a spacer because the cable stretched out. The cable is fairly new, maybe about 2-3k mi. on it.

I bought a new cable to keep in my trunk just in case the old one snaps.
But maybe youre right, Ill get used to it. LOL

Thats not good. BTW what exactly do you mean by the clutch assembly? What specifically broke? I was hoping the cable would be the weakest link.
