classic. I would check the t belt has well if someone cant install an alternator belt right god knows what the t belt is like

I have seen some siezed alts on cars that sat a while...didnt think of that at first.

got it, installed, and started the beast, idle'd fine, went to back it out and gave it a small rev, then it died and wont start again.. i don't have any time 2nite to look at it.. what do you think!?!

How did it act when you tried to start it after it died today? Did you smell gas while trying to restart it?

it just simply wouldnt start, it cranked/sounded like a non starting motor would. yea i have power to lights etc, i blew the battery fuse but it is just jumpered right now for the time.. it started twice ok like that..

what do you think?

you keep blowing the battery fuse? Make sure you don't have any wires grounding out(that aren't supposed to) in your engine bay.

I would check the fuel pump...mine did that for a while. Like it would get fuel and spark but some how it wouldn't start up. I thought it was the timing...adjusted about 20 so times and then I just decided to get a better/used fuel pump and pop it in since it sat for so long. After that it fired right up and no problem ever since
