car shuts off while driving
Hey guys i finished my swap a couple of weeks ago and everything was running fine for the exception of VTEC. Its a 94 integra LS with a 96 b18cr.
After a couple of weeks I got in my car and started it up, it started up fine but then killed right a way. After a bout 5 more tries it finally started but i had to rev it to keep it going at first but then it seemed to run fine. I took it around my block and all was good but i never got out of second gear. Later on i took it out again when i got into third gear the whole car was shaking and the engine was sputtering and then it killed.
The next day my father took it out for a spin and it ran fine. A week later after letting it sit while i was away i took it out it ran fine at first but after 5 min of driving at like 25-30mph it just shut off. It took like 10 trys to get it going again but it did, then about 3 min later it did the same thing, and kept doin it till i got home.
My fater and I botht think its in the ignition, but if any body knows more about whats happening to my car let me know.

Check any battery connections. You have a loose positive or ground somewhere. The reason you can't go below 25 with out it shutting off is because your alternator is still working. Below a ceritain rpm it won't make enough juice to kep it going. Happened to my car. Belive me check everything.
ignition control module, its inside the dizzy. I had the same problem in my z6 powered civic and ADAC or the german auto club who helps fix cars when the brake down here in germany came out 3 times for the same ---- and finally after purchasing new plugs, plug wires, coil, dizzy cap, and rotor wer found out it was the module
It was in the dizzy. The screw holding the rotor came loose because i lost the lock washer when i replaced the ICM, and the bolt flung around and got wedged in cracking the ICM. I put my old ICM back it (hich turned out to be good) and put the rotor back on with a lock washer and it fixed the problem.
