Default Cam Gear Install, Please Help!!

I'm doing my friends cam gear install on his D16z6. It is an AEM cam gear and the stock one comes with a built in woodruff key and i can't figure out what to use. Does anyone know?

Mine came with a half moon shaped key. It is not part of the aem cam gear like the stock one, as you found out. your local hardware store should have a large selection of keys, start by looking there.

I couldn't find anything smaller than 1/8 " keystock locally so i had to pull out the file and go to it.

Home Depot & Lowe's have Woodruff Keys (a Woodruff Key is a half oval key).

They're in those bins next to the bolts... the ones with all the weird miscellaneous screws and ----.

OSH also has them in the fastener aisle in the stand up see through bins that roll side to side.
