Alternate manifolds for MPFI swap
Ok, I know most people use the A6 intake mani when doing the MPFI conversion, but is there any reason why any other d series MPFI manifold will not work? I know the map sensor and ---- are mounted on the TB on the OBD1 manifolds compared to the firewall on the OBD0 cars, but I don't see why you couldn't just lenghten the wires and use the TB mounted map. I have a buddy that wants to use a D15B7 mani on a d15B1 motor. Also....what is the auto ecu code for the A6 motor??

maybe the earlier models but my 94 d15b7 has a tb mounted map
maybe jagojon had his replaced
92-93 had firewall mounted map, no big deal really.......
The D15B7 and D16A6 are the same manifoldm just different TB bolt pattern and sensor locations. The plenum and runners are the same. Get A Z6 if you can, alot better with no low end lose.

Cool. He either already has or has access to a B7 manifold, that is why he wanted to go that route. The car is an auto and he wants to keep it that way for now...pretty much have to go with the PS9 ecu, correct?
