well lets see. my personal experience.

built d series on 16 psi. 253 hp 222.3 tq

bone stock b18c1 on 9 psi 319.9 249 tq.

you make the call.

my untuned b16 on about 7-8 psi is waaaay faster than my d16y7 on 13 psi

Built D will make more power, go with that.

If you're still building power after 7000, yeah it will make more power. What is the most power you've seen out of a built D? 500? What is the most you've seen out of a built B? What's the most you've seen out of a stock D? 300? What's the most you've seen out of a stock B?

No matter how you look at it, the B will make more power. D's are fun to ---- around with, but if you're looking for the most power a D is NOT the way to go.

thanks for the responces i guess i wil be going gsr block with b16 head and tranny on my hatch. ;D

yeah, d series are fun to dick with, but b series is what drops the panties

amount of power made isn't dependent on whether a motor is stock or built, all that means is it can handle more power ::) a stock b will make much more power than a built d on the same set up at the same amount of boost, period. the only thing that limits you is how much power you plan to make and run every day.
