building a turbo kit for dummies -- help please!
So I have a 1990 crx si. Stock with the exception of the intake and exaust perfomance wise, and I really want some extra kick. I've heard here and there that a stock honda motor can take around 8 lbs of boost, not saying that I'm not planning on upgrading the actual motor to take more, but for right now this 8 lbs sounds good. I believe that the stock crx si's come with around 112 hp, and I'd love to get to around the mid 170's at least. I have a couple friends who are big into building their own stuff and have successfully built their own turbo kits that blow **** out of the water, but they're all next to impossible to contact, so I need some help. Advice on what kind of turbo, intercooler, and all the other stuff?
thanks.
and please, don't rip me apart too hard, remember that I titled this "building a turbo kit for DUMMIES"
ha
