Block question
I did SOME searching, i'm not going to lie I didnt do to much but I spun a rod bearing this weekend. My question is, I have a d16z6 and I was wanting to know if any other blocks would bolt to the d16 head? Would a non vtec block work?

Re: Block question
Actually I found a great deal. I found a d16 non vtec shortblock for 75 bucks, but when I went up there the guy said if I buy it as a complete he'll throw in a complete d15 lol. So I did. I got two motors for 200 bucks. The d15 has a tranny, intake, exhaust mani, alt, start, and some other ---- lol. So I think I might try and do something with it for a little bit. Maybe see if I can't fab up a HMTkit

Re: Block question
i always go to either a junkyard, or ricer shop.
at the ricer shops you can usually find non v-tach goods for dirt cheap.
d-series ---- goes cheap as well.
ricers only care about 2 things in their motor.
1. V-TACH
2. B-series motors
therefore the goods that they no longer want become become affordable parts for you and i.
