b18 sawap going on - shift linkage ??? Spark Plug Wires ???

so i atache the linkage to the shifter.... Then lign up the tranny in 1st gear (all the way in ) and then put shift in first. then cut it down and weld it up. just kie that??

also throttle cable needs to be lengthend is it that much of a problme really??

uhm, I think you will want to modify it when its in neatural... think thats what we did. Call up hasport and ask them, they probably can tell you the exact ammount to cut off, for some reason 2 1/4 is ringing a bell, but I could be wrong.

throttle bracket, just modified the stock one to work..

cut it 2-3/8" if you can't fond a 90-93 linkage you acn get a 86-89 adn lengthen it about three inches witha peice of all thread, this is what i didi cause i couldnt find a damn 90-93

Uhh, the stock d-series linkage blows *** for the B-series tranny. Lots of grinding and they dont bolt up correctly. You have to add about 3 inchs, (make it adjustable so you can get it right too. I would highly advise not to use the stock stuff, the 90-93 teg linkage would be alot easier. Since you will just need to cut it, and reweld it.

ok im heading to wrecker today and picking up some for me.

Im getting the stabalizer too do I need it?

Yes the stabilizer is teh most important, as the stabilizer bar mounting is totally different on b-series tranny's

ok. So I cut the linkage 2.375 or so inches both the stabalizer and shifter part... then weld it up?

THX guys again. Imma phone hasport on monday to to see what they say but Im hopeing they wont say just buy the linkage haha cause that isnt gonna happen any time soon.

I woudlnt cut it any of the numbers listed on this thread, I would look at it and make your on decision..
