Default Plug wires and spark plugs

How do you test spark plug wires to see if they need to be replaced? And how about spark plugs, mine are tan/brown but how do i test to see if they are still good? Also for gapping on a turboed car, should you leave it stock or gap larger or smaller.

Thanks

If the spark plug wires look beat then replace them and spark plugs are only like 2 bucks so I would just buy new ones if your not sure about them.
