b18
ok i just got my hands on a higher mileage b18 non vtec....it has 100k and i imagine it will need a rebuild..my question is whether or not it will need to be rebored when i put new pistons and rings in...i know on domestics the cylinder walls develope ridges after a while and need to be rebored, but what about hondas?...does anyone have b18 camshafts or gears?(non-vtec)

Re:b18
Hondas usually dont develop that "Ridge" that Domestic cars do, I have tore down incredibly high milage hondas, and still could see the original factory cross hatches on the cylinder wall! If you are going to buy the stock size bore pistons, and the tolerences are within specs, go ahead and give it a quick hone and put the pistons in. Lots of people just slap new pistons in without getting them bore'd.
