Default LS-VTEC swap

Ok so I'm searching for alternatives to the ZC since it's going to cost a ton anyway, I am thinking about going the LS VTEC route. What is involved in this swap? Is it basically the exact same thing as a B16A swap? I can get the motor at an even cheaper price than the ZC so I am thinking about that instead.

Ah, its just an illusion dude, B-series swaps cost nearly twice as much as that ZC swap we added up.. lets add it up!

B18 a/b longblock 450-600
B16a/B18c head 300-400
Cable B-series Tranny 300-500
B-series clutch new 200-275
Resurface flywheel 35
Axles 125
Intermediate shaft 50
Head Gasket 50
Hoses 30
Coolant/oil/filter 30
Mount kit for B-series to 88-91 300-450
Shiftlinkage Kit 200
ECU? PWO or PR3 (only nonobd ecu for B-series) 100-150
Vtec controller to add more fuel (b1 100
Modify Cat convertor or Downpipe 30
Rear B-series Cable tranny Bracket 40
Oil line for LS/VTEC 40

Total $2380-3105

You have to get the vtec controller or some other method to give the car fuel, because running the B16 program PWO or PR3 wont be enough.

Heh, I know its very discourging. On my ls vtec swap I cut every damn corner I could to get it going.. I dont think I even spent 1200 bucks on mine.. and that included all the goodies, JG intake/4-1 header/Proflow T-body/Nology wires/Mounts.

What do you think of the Nology wires? Notice any difference?

I had nothing to compare them to, since that was the first set of wires I have used on this motor, I found 3 out of the 4 wires behind a race shop brand new in the package, then ordered the 4th wire direct from nology for 30 bucks or so. I guess they work ok, they are pretty?
