had something like that happen to me... axle was stuck in the half-shaft.. tried everything, i meen everything.. like unbolting the half-shaft and axle, taking it to local firestation were my buddy worked, and trying to sepperate it with the jaws of life. and it still would not budge, ------- thing was cracking the metal housing around the halfshaft.. ---- can rip a door off in the matter of seconds, but couldnt seperate an axle

sometimes ---- just wont come off.

but if its comming out and going back in it should come out. that metal ring thingy they put on there is probly just getting in the way.. one good pop from the top and bottom should do the trick.

 

just don't ruin the case......and you can.....

H22 JDM LSD, person tried to drive the axle out from the other side.....the clip was so fucked up he ended up "driving the diff. out" the other side. Cracked around the bearing race/axle seal area.

Note the diff ONLY fits a JDM LSD case, try finding a spare!

 

Eh I said ---- it and swapped the outboard joint with one from another axle. Wasnt as hard as I thought, so that's done, now i gotta fix the other side. Hope to be back on the road tomorrow by lunch
