So I finally hooked up my monster tach after my old one was stolen. I hooked it up to the green/yellow wire on the A plug as before and damn, The gauge is reading 2K addvanced? When uber reads 3k, gauge reads 5k. Ive always had probs w/ autometer tachs reading a lil advanced but this is a little to much. My previous tach read 500RPMS addvanced, whats the deal? Anyone have a fix for this or any ideas. I double checked to be sure I calibrated it for a 4cyl and yes sir I did. Should I tap direct from the dizzy? Thanx guys

 

What is tach set at? Is it set to 4 cylinder.

 

you gotta check the wires on the back of the tach.. there should be a Blue and Brown wire.

the blue should be cut, and the other should be left alone...
Blue = cut
Brown = dont cut

i bet there both cut.
check to see if thats it.


if so just (electric tape/soder or whatever) the brown back together
