Anyways back to the topic.............
Today we got back into working on the car.
We ordered the wrong act clutch so we are sending the clutch back and getting the right one ......... Today we set up the center console and lined everything up and did a little bolting on and stuff. All we are waiting on is to get the clutch and then fire the son of a beotch! hehe... . Well ill keep you guys here on HMT informed about what happens, I cant wait to fire her up.
I was wondering if i could use the 1.5 started for my 1.6 ?? my 1.6 has a heating problem and people told me that its my starter..... Heres the issue: I turn on my car ..... go about 80 mph on the freeway for 20 mins and then get to my destination. I park my car and turn it off and go to wherever i am going and do what i have to do, well lets say i let the car sit for like 5 mins ? i get in the car and fire her up and she struggles to turn on .. why is that now if i " run " the car wich is like 90 - 100 mph ..... and turn off the car .... it takes 5 minutes to turn on... is it my starter ? or something else..... any help would be appreciated.... thank you all once again for the help .

Re: .:: Automatic to Manual swap ::.
Your starter will have nothing to do with your over heating problem. I would suggest some common tests like a compression test, an engine flush to get all the ---- out of your motor, leak down test(check for leaks), pull your plugs out and tell us what color they are, have you had an oil change lately?, do you burn oil on the motor anywhere?, what about out the exhaust(any smoke if so what color)?, if you have vacuum lines do a vacuum test. Do those and if you still have problems then we will be able to help you out a bit better. The information you gave us doesn't really help us out much but if you do some of these it will help us narrow it down a lot.

Re: .:: Automatic to Manual swap ::.
It could be a number of things, thats why I suggested some tests. It helps us out if you let us know what you have checked and haven't checked. I've been helping a couple other people and your problem is also starting to sound like theirs. Check out your main relay it is a possibility it is going bad. It is a simple test, check that first if you don't want to do all the other tests.
Check the third post down there is also a link with how to check it: https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=64598.0
Also try what crx88Si suggested. Like I said it can be a number of things it is hard to pin point one thing unless this exact problem has happened to someone else.
