Default anyone tried this before?

Okay, I have a 93 civic hatch that i'm doing a swap in. I put a B18A1 with cable tranny in it. I tried the cable/hydro conversion with no luck, so now i put the clutch cable from a 90 integra in the car. It sort of works, dont want to pull the clutch lever up enough, and dont want to drop it very well... any one ever tried doing this, or seen this done? I could use some help. I have the $$ for a hydraulic transmission but i cant find one for sale at a decent price. Any help is appreciated. thanx.

ok so that didnt really make sense to me, what are you trying to do, use the cable from the 90 integra for you cable trans? and its not dis-engaging enough, or dis-engaging enough? am i reading into your post correctly?

Well, I figured out that I need to get the actual clutch pedal from a 90-91 integra first, and then i'll see how it works. With the clutch pedal from the 92-95 civic, it wont engage or disengage.

the pedal shouldent matter if the cable is hooked up to the one you have, the new cable is prolly just too long

I would try swapping the pedal anyway...i've heard of people doing this and supposedly works out well. You hafta remember that the 93 pedal is made pretty much just for pushing in the clutch master, not pulling a cable. Also don't forget to properly tension the trans side of the cable...adjust the cable up until it gets tight against the throw out bearing, and then back off just a hair. Usually that'll make a difference too with a funky pedal feel. You pretty much have to rely on the trans to pull the cable back down, so if the cable's not tight enough on the arm it will feel like the cable's getting stuck.
