Dodge injectors, has anyone tried them?
I was looking for a set of DSM injectors at my local salvage yard with no luck, but the place is chock full of turbo Dodge cars, does any one know what the cfm is on these injectors and if they will work with the hond ECM? I was checking out a Dodge message board and these guys are geting crazy HP numbers on stock injectors, like 250 to 300 HP.
Their are probably tons of injectors out their that we dont know about that will fit in our hondas that flow alot, Not everybody has tried them all, so nobody knows. This is what I would do if I were you, take one out, compare it to your stock injectors, see if it can be modified to fit in our rail (since lots of injectors are shaped differently) If it does look close, take 1 to an injector shop and just ask if they can flow this for you, shouldnt charge you more than 5 bucks, just ask how many lbs an hour or cc it flows.
Good idea, but I still dont know if they are peak and hold or saturated. Is there any way to tell? If they are the wrong ones is there a way to run them anyway, with a resistor box? the reason I am asking is there are literaly dozens of these cars in this yard, if these injectors will work I can get them for almost nothing, I could pass this on to the HMT guys, cheap injectors for all!
The dodge injectors are 397 CC, they are made by BOCH, I dont know if they will fit the Honda fuel rail or not but they are good for about 350 HP on the Dodge motors. Get a set and check them with a DVOM, if the resistance is the same as the honda injector and they are the same size they should work. You are right they are a lot easier to find than DSM blue tops,I use them all the time on turbo Saturns.
Check this web sight out, www.bsmotor.com .they have a great section on injectors and also compressor maps. Its all BMW but its a great resorce. check out the 520 HP beemer.
