hey guys, i am from 3geez.com forums and we all have either a A20A1 or a A20A3 motor. The A1 is a carb and the A3 is a efi. Both the blocks are 2.0L as u can guess. They are SOHC with 9.1:1 (A1) and 9.3:1(A3) compressions. Only two of the people i know are having turbo on their cars and pretty much expensive set ups, a high of 3K bucks.

i was wondering if any of you guys know how to have a set up at like 1/3rd of the price of that. I know no one makes a turbo manifold for our 3rd gen (86-89). thanks for your help

the a20a1 is out of the 86-87 accord and the a20a3 is out of the 88-89 accord.

funny thing is....i used to have a 3rd gen 1989 honda prelude SI....full interior and body weight with that crappy *** b20a5 motor that we all love to hate....i smoked the ---- out of an 89 accord with one of those a20a3 motors in it.....it was so pitiful when i raced that guy, he was like " dang what do you got under that hood...ur fast man "....i laughed cause i knew i had a shitty *** setup

no u got it wrong. The A20A1 is a carb motor found on accords from 86-89 (9.1:1 compression). The A20A3 is a efi motor found on the 86-87 with 8.8:1 comnpression and 88-89 with 9.3:1 compression.

I talked with Jeff Frank a few months back and he had no clue about this motor. Seems like everyone knows about the B series and D series, the teg and civic motors, but not a clue about these old 2.0L. If u guys wanna start a good deal in making turbo manifolds, i would say do it for this car. The only reason is cause of the inability to find aftermarket turbo manifolds for this 3rd gen accord, but also way too many people needing ways to boost this car which also includes me. Anyway, if u guys wanna know what i am talking about visit www.3geez.com and find out for urself how much we need aftermarket supprt. All we need is someone to make us Turbo Manifold of good quality. Even aftermarket headers are made by DC (only for efi motor) after a long period of discontinuation and pacesetter who makes universal headers for both carb and efi.

Any idea or references would be greatly appreciated.

thanks lewis. seems like a new guy in our forum is really interested in fabricating turbo manifolds. We will see how that design ends up. :P
