i been looking around HMT for a while now and finally decided to start my first small turbo project. the only thing i ever really drove with a turbo on it was a 99 chevy 3500hd tow truck. anyways, i brought the 89 accord off ebay just so i can run a turbo on it. i choose this car becaise of the close deck iron block. this one was super clean and i am pretty good with working on 86-89 accords.

the turbo i brought i paid $70 bucks off ebay. i was told its a 14b of a 2g eclipse. i was hoping to squeeze 12 psi out of this thing.i felt i really dident need anything bigger considering it was going on a stock 17 year old motor, that is only 2.0, 12v and can only rev to 6200 rpms. i really dont know much about trubos but i have been searching and reading the forced introduction threds on all the forums. somethere in my quest for knowledge i got kinda confused of my turbo. does 14b = t25? i am looking for flanges to make mt log manifold and downpipe. prob be getting them from aaron weir.

as for the car. i still gotta take the trip form boston to new jersey to go pick it up. yeah, thats a 5 hour drive. yeah, right now the car is auto put i am doing the 5spd swap.

thats a t-25 not 14b

 

yes. thats a t-25 off of a 2nd gen eclipse.
the first gen had the tdo4 13b for the autos, and the tdo5 14b for the manual trannys.
that turbo might be too small for your engine. its almost too small for the d16z6.
but i say, go ahead and put it on and give it a try

 

at 12psi id say its out of its usable efficiency range. I use a T3 60/63 on my 88 Lxi with good results.
