Are 88-00 civic alternators interchangable?

meaning D-series alternators?.. most yes, mainly the biggest difference is the plugins on the back and amperage. I think all 3 levels (OBDO/1/2) have differnt plugs. But I could be wrong. The mountng is the same for all of them.

i know obd1 and 2 have diff plugs

I've been using a OBD1 in my OBD0 car for about 2 years now. Exactly the same. But for some reason the belt was a 3v compared to my DOHC ZC 2V, but the parts store listed my obd0 as a 3V.
