ok i know very litte about turbo hondas but im doin it anyway i got a hf manifold, talon turbo,intercooler and the adapter plate and the exhaust flange besides the bov and all the oil and water lines what else do i need to get? oh by the way its a d15b7 128k miles well maintained and is it ok to ge all the piping ran at an exhaust shop?? and how much boost is it safe to run on the stock enternals? any info would be goodlookin to start on it soon thanx

 

You need some sort of Fuel management...

a Vortec FMU seems to be a popular choice around here.

 

yeah... dude your gonna need more petrol if you want to maintain that engine running... AFC Hack or Vortech FMU does seem like the weapon of choice for most people on low budgets... With proper fuel management you should be fine at 8PSI... no fuel management... keep it below 5, retard your timing a bit. good plugs, ignition, and unbolt your water temp sensor, and plug it up, tricks your car to run rich, as if it were cold all the time. About piping thats what im doing.... going to a muffler shop to get the pipes bent... im using 2in steel... should be a good size and keep the heat out.

 

AFC hack what the hell is that i know what the fmu is but i wanna compare the two

 

and also i got a talon intercooler and one pipe enters at the top and the other exits out the front isthis gonna be a problem when i mount it and try to run pipes to it?

 

I'm pretty sure by AFC hack he is talking about the Apex-i V-AFC
