ghetto turbo for b18b integra?
I was wondering if there was anyone out there who had some info on this. I've checked the g2ic forums but no luck. I've heard you could use stock dsm turbos with other parts. please fill me in.

you can use any turbo you want really.. as long as theres space in the bay for it.. but you'll want something that'll come on boost fast and not be restrictive higher in the rev range.. a roller bearing T28 off a s14 silvia with a pulsar GTi-R exuast housing and wheel and a sierra cosworth T4 compressor wheel will do...(t4 wheel needs to be bored and reamed out and an insert pressed in with a smaller internal bore so it'll fit on the skinny T28 shaft.. easy if your a machinist)
then you'll need a custom exhause manifold.. easy if you are a trianed welder/fabricaror
fuel management etc etc..
yes it can be done, yes it'll be expensive if you want it to work properly

B-series kits are a bit more expensive to do than D-series, we have this great advantage since we can use the "HF" manifold, that is basically a precat style manifold, that looks similar to a turbo manifold. You make an adapter plate off the manifold to whatever turbo you want..
Now for B-series, the engines require a pretty decent size turbo, I would say a 14b for the B18b would be just fine. the 14b is a DSM 1g Manual turbocharger. But now heres the thing. Nobody makes a turbo manifold for B-series that will bolt to that turbo. You can get one made, but it may cost alot. That is why alot of people go with T3 or T3/t4 hybrid turbos for B-series. Their are lots of companies that sell prefab B-series manifolds with the T3 flange already on it.
Anyhow, I could go on about 10 more pages about turbokits, but I will leave it at that for now. If you have a specific question go ahead and ask.
