Default 1G-GTE supra pistons and B16 rods for D16?

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=267641&page=1

I am about to start building a D16 bottom end, and I am reading this combo of a B16 rod and a 1G-GTE supra piston set-up. this will handle about 15psi with no block guard and no sleeves. the only thing needed is a block notch. not a bad deal if you ask me. read the thread, I would be really interested in your opinion.

yeah, but it seems this other set-up would be a little cheaper.

anyone know where I can find these pistons? i think the vitara pistons are a little to tall for this set-up.

Cast pistons are poop. If I wanted to run 20+psi on cast pistons I would run 20+ on the stock cast pistons.

I can't see spending $500 on less than quality parts when you could add a couple more bucks and get name brand, qualtiy parts that weren't pulled from the junkyard.

I am still awaiting a price from this guy. he says that "extensive work" goes into making this combo work, so im a little skeptical about things. I am for sure considering the option though.

Nissan cast pistons can take a lot of abuse...they are manufactured different...maybe the vitara pistons also.
SR20DE en SR20DET's come with cast pistons...the rod's and crank are only forged.

ok, I'm not starting a vitara this and that argument but it has been coverd the vitara pistons are a type of cast. The way they are manufactured and such make them alot stronger than honda and other manufacturers who cut coners and it has been proven that they can hold up to 25psi. I got them for $110 shipped with rings and i'll tell you there well worth the money.
