Re: wireless help for the ubuntu OS

hey thanks for your help....the problem with my old computer is that its pci slots are fried every time i stick the wifi card in it it makes a long beep so i kept testing the other slots and found one that did not beep that is the one i have been fornicating with all day. At first i thought it was the card but it turns out to be the pci slot itself Ill just get a new motherboard for it since this one was going on 5 years old.

My stinkpad has a three gig hd and even shittier ram i believe 128mb do you think i can run ubuntu on my laptop? currently i am running xp home on it.
