it is an an auto.exe file when i run it it says "to run a command as an administrator (user "root"), use "sudo <command>". See "man sudo_root" for details.

ok, llinux wont execute exe files
ndiswrapper -l run that and tell me what it outputs. |

sudo depmod -a sudo modprobe ndiswrapper when thats ran run this tail /var/log/messages sudo ifconfig wlan0 sudo iwlist scan sudo iwconfig wlan0 essid [mynetworkessid] sudo dhclient wlan0 |

this is the error I got .... bash: tail/var/log/messages: No such file or directory

there's a space in between tail and /var. You can copy and paste commands in terminal if you want, it's a little faster :)

It's not that hard. 10 minutes in a google search would get you all of the needed information. l taught my 42 year old mother who's just gotten a computer for the first time this year how to use linux :)
