---- being an underdog, it's all about making more power and being faster, not to get respect for making power with one cam. why build a d when you can build a b and make more power. yeah, there are plenty of built d's that beat a stock b, but if you build a b to the same specs you built a d to and run the same boost, guess who's gonna make more power 
like i said, work with what you got, i've only ever owned b series and i think it would be kind of dumb to 'downgrade'

if you go back and re-read the first pages of this thread, no one including myself, was trying to argue a "b vs D" thread.
anyways back to your favorite SOHC thraed.
Did you guys know there are even smaller(shittier to kevin) D series in the EDM markets? 1.4 and 1.3 liters! There some crazy little configurations, we have seen people with integras that come with a SOHC Stock (cant remember what country) but it was wierd to look at it being use to them always being DOHC.

^^^^^^This was your point about the B vs D and first I never said anything about vs I just said you two made good point on both engines.
About the "b16 vs D" debate. this is long and never ending. While I will not get into the logisitics of the statement made above, i will say it is made up of very much of that which keeps D series parts cheap. ~HYPE!!!!

There is about a 10 lb. ft/ differnce between MOST internet sources of the two motors. With the a6 reaching its peak sooner than the 8k rpm b16a1.
vehicle Wieght, gearing, useable powerband, and TORQUE all working together towards performance is what makes a car "quick" or not. To quote a good friend of mine, "the import enthusiasts try to reinvent the wheel, while old school muscle car guru's work to make it rotate easier"

bottom line is who gives a ---- dudes... i mean it still a single cam if we all had our way it would be k-series or b's...... who really gives a ---- there all cheap and run great for a long time....
