Nice Move. I would like to dedicate more to JKMotorsports. I don't have the *****, finances or Marketing area to do it right now.

But one thing, Should have gotten a Hypertherm Plasma, the Miller will dissappoint you, and the Reapir bills will kill you. I know I was!!!!

If I were making my own business I would at least come up with a name for it that is original... and if I couldnt be original at least use a name that isnt from a related business. Simply go to c.c.f.ab.com (remove the periods, forum censors it) and see a fabrication company that has been around quite a while. Anyone want to open up an oil line business with me? We can call it Covertmode or Hiddenmode :1

that's it right there....you get the same first word/letters so it's easier to confuse the new customer into buying from the competition.

When they are looking for their oil lines, they'll be like, i think the place was Stealth something. A quick google search will put you right there and will allow you to sell more.....

or call it "The Real Stealthmode" different but the same.

Anyone remember the ghostbusters and the real ghostbuster......I'm old..

In every business I've ever known, the more employess you have, the more man hours each job will take. It's actually less efficient to have 2 guys on a job that only requires 1. For example, when I do a job it might take 32 man hours. If I get help on the same exact job, it ALWAYS takes longer. Sometimes it still takes the same amount of days, but x2 is 64 man hours. That's why in my compnay everybody is on their own. Nobody has a partner/helper.

I guess this is why the guys with business degrees now need to higher engineers as consultants to fix their companies efficiency.

On a more serious note, I'm going to give you a little advice. I would make damn sure when hotrex decides to take a few days/weeks off for personal reasons, there are other people you can call up and make sure the work will get done, even if it means cutting your profit margin dramatically. If CoreyR is running the business but can't weld well, then you're SOL when hotrex decides he can't make manifolds for a couple of days/weeks. You may not need to higher that person full time, but make sure there is someone you can call up when you need to, because you will need to call them. Also, look into taking a welding course. $300-400 investment will end up helping your company quite a bit.
im afriad you havent researched much about hotrex. he failed because he had to much buisness for him. and the orders just kept coming in and in. and as much as we all like to think about him not getting any buisness he will because he sells manifolds for crack head prices. if he keeps the price right he will sell manifolds. the problem with the past buisness he did was taking way to ------- long sending out manifolds and then lieing to customers saying it was going out that week, or its out, or dont worry im working on it right now and it will be done tomorrow. but he says corey will cover that so hopefully people wont be lied to anymore and they will be able to update there site with a "true turnaround time". then you got the people who ordered waited 3-4 months and for what only to get a refund. that will scare some people away. but for the most part everyone who ordered received there manifold josh wasnt there to scam people just not the person to get your manifold out in 2weeks like the site stated or he stated. (luckily most people order there stuff ahead of time, but for some its hard because thats all your waiting for to finish your project).
as far as josh going to school to take a class about welding. im not sure if he ever has but if hes been welding manifolds for this long and it seems like he's doing a good job. i see no ------- reason for him to waste his time with school when hes getting more practice time at work then he would at school. maybe he could always go down and ask for some pointers or ask a question hes been having trouble with. but hes got everything setup and hes been welding for awhile now. i bet he could go down and take the tig test to get certified in welding pipe(or at least he should lol).
as far as him failing and not making money becuase him and a few friends are goign to have to share the money. who knows. he might not fail, he might have a month turnaround time but if his friend is honest to the customers and keep the prices low and improves quality with everyday that passes he can make a once failed buisness into a chinese boomin workshop. but its going to take determination-hard work-cooperation-money-a schedule-and honesty this time.
im not sure what josh was doing for a living before this c.c.f.a.b.buisness but i bet its a bigstep up and a jump alot of us dont take or would fail at(just like he did HAHA) but he is getting back up and ready to do it right this time(hopefully).
if i knew customers were getting there manifolds on time and the same cheap prices i would probibly order from him if i didnt want to hassle with trying to make one. i think hotsex advertised way to much and let personell problems get in the way(what a ------- emo basterd).

Um, no. He said he got depressed and let orders slide meaning he stopped working. Then he got over whelmed and felt the need to lie about the work getting out in hopes that things would start going his way. The bad part was it didn't start going is his way and so he continued to get further and further behind.

Um, no again. Hotrex does not see flaws in his work. Everything he does is mint. He doesn't notice what he is doing wrong. He doesn't research to find proper preceedures to follow. It took him 6 months to figure out he needed to run two passes on schedule 10 material after 20 people told him to do so on various webforums and has been well documented. Again, he needs to go take a welding course so his learning curve improves.

as far as him failing and not making money becuase him and a few friends are goign to have to share the money. who knows. he might not fail, he might have a month turnaround time but if his friend is honest to the customers and keep the prices low and improves quality with everyday that passes he can make a once failed buisness into a chinese boomin workshop. but its going to take determination-hard work-cooperation-money-a schedule-and honesty this time.
You are living in the world of maybes and so are they. No business starts out with 50 employees unless they are absolutely sure they need 50 employees. They are starting out with 3 employees when it might come down to they only need 1-2. Just hiring people to work less is one thing, but you have to know doing so will reduce your profit margins dramatically. Now if they need 3 people, that means their business is being run efficiently as you are only supposed to hire as many people you need to keep your profit margins at its highest.

im not sure what josh was doing for a living before this c.c.f.a.b.buisness but i bet its a bigstep up and a jump alot of us dont take or would fail at(just like he did HAHA) but he is getting back up and ready to do it right this time(hopefully).

You just said exactly the point I made. His future customers have no insurance that this won't happen again. Just because he says it won't, doesn't mean its the truth. If CoreyR and his other employees can't handle what hotrex does, then whats the point of having them? Hotrex will ship the stuff if he makes it. His problem is he didn't make it. If someone can't step up and make the products, shipping doesn't matter much.

Good point. As long as all 3 are actually needed and not just there to hangout. Is there really enough work to keep 3 people paid and working full time? ...or is this just an "on the side" deal where you guys just come in when you feel like it, but still have regular jobs?
