What ever happened to the ebay sheet metal manifolds?

What ever happened to the ebay sheet metal manifolds?
I recall seeing them on ebay about 2-3 motors ago before I upgraded to fuel injection...
I can't imagine them being of particularly great quality but with my intake runner length playing a big part in what intake manifold I can use, my hands are tied and I am not about to drop $700+ for a mangus.
I suppose this thread won't magically make the cheapo egay manifolds come back, but I was wondering if anybody knew the story behind it.
