well thats pretty sweet then. its just everytime i hear someone else talking about there v8 and someone says something about gas they usually laugh because there getting raped. but i bet its nice to be boosting a v8 and still get good mileage. is this always or just if you baby it around on the highway?

um pretty much babying it...

the way i drive and being in traffic constantly i get about 22mpg

i can get about 30 if i baby it and keep it in OD

stock 5.0 lx's are rated at 26mpg highway

thats still really good considering i have owned several cars with half the liter or less and on average only get about 22mpg. my 84 supra only gets like 22. and i use to own a svt contour that only would get something between 22-24. and even the lx contour with a 2.0 only got 22-24 with a automatic. not sure what i get in my honda yet. i just got a new cluster for it hoping it would fix my speedo freaking out. would only work less then about quarter of the time.

26mpg normal driving!

28mpg on the base model!

nissian 350z has 200 less hp and 200 less tq and gets worse mileage!

i love mpg arguements! 06 BMW m5 5.0L V10 500HP 12/18 mpg 100 less tq than the z06 and 10 less mpg!!!!

haha ya, most people dont think anything about gearing, just how big it is. thought its hard to baby most of those cars but holy crap that bmw sucks the gas away. funny how ford and chevy can get better gas milage from a high hp/tq motor car with longer gearing then there smaller cars with little 2.0's or whatever

To bad window stickers and what the factory says the cars get MPG are nowhere near what they really get at all. I highly doubt a z06 would get over 25, especially if you just drove it normal. Chev says they get 16/26 which really means 14/22.
