=========== Original message Below =====================

Hey Guys,

We've seen a few of our racer friends do this, and thought it was a great idea. So we turned them into an official product. It's our version of the water return port, with an integrated temperature sender mounting port. It mounts between the water neck and the head on any D series engine. It provides two ports, one is a 3/8NPT port for water return from a turbo, etc., and the other is a 1/2NPT port for mounting up a temperature sender for an aftermarket gauge.

This makes it very convenient to mount up your after market water temp gauge. Just use the adapters included with the gauge to mount up the sender in the 1/2NPT port. This places your aftermarket gauge sender just inches from the factory location on the end of the head.

We include plugs for any unused ports. Below is a pic. Your thoughts? We haven't set pricing yet, and want to get your thoughts on what you think this is worth.

We'll get some installed pics up soon.

I think it'd be awesome for Honda-Tech or more baller setups. I doubt many HMTers care too much about coolant lines or pressure gauges.

D series are ready now, and B18C5 units are next. We'll also be doing B18A/B after that. Here is a pic of it installed on one of our cars. Yes, we know that the sender is not connected to anything.

Dave - I don't remember exactly who did this first, we've been looking at it for about a year now. We made a few of them by hand for a couple of our racer friends, and then decided to do a production run of them on CNC and see how well they sell.

There would be no flow, so yeah you could do it, but why?

You could make a fitting of the same size, but it would have to be designed different.

As it is now you can run the return/feed into the fitting and then just "T" into a line elsewhere. Eliminates one long coolant line anyway. The problem I would see with the return and feed/return being on the same place is the lines to the turbo are so much smaller than the upper rad hose.
