I didn't go through this whole thread...so whoever blueprinted the engine and built it....are they gonna cover anything? Why would you have to pay anything?

How the ---- do you ovulate a cylinder in a thick walled sleeved block?
If it's right you won't have any problems. Put it back together, check the plugs while you break it in and do some mild flogging, and then proceed to boost the ---- out.
BTW, fatboy, make absolutely sure you get the correct ----------ing rings? All moly coated bullshit is going to get you is flakes of moly blowing off and creating blowby. For your power level you need either DLC or titanium nitrided rings, and make absolutely certain the bottom ring is a napier design. Further, make sure the machinist goes a little rough on the hone as those rings are hard as hell and need some scuff to seat them.
What is the story on Endyn's specs?

JD - Endyne specs are super tight. But their pistons are supposed to have more Silicon content so they dont expand, or something to that sort. They are basically like machining for "cast" pistons.

Maybe a tad to tight? .002" taper over that dinky *** stroke is quite a ------- bit if you are sure your blueprinting numbers are right

I need to dig up Greg Hermann's rant on metallurgy and piston manufacturers... it's freaking funny, and very apropo. Apparently all forgings are made out of once grade of aluminum, or "special/secret" which is still that grade of aluminum.

That engine either ran too hot or had too small piston-to-wall clearance.
