So if people are throwing millions of dollars at you all day long, where are all of your super smart investments? What do you own? What kind of profits are you making?
The banks loan the corporation the money. As a CEO, you decide what to do with it. All assets are held by the corporation, in the corporations name. As an acting CEO it is mandatory that you pay yourself a livable wage. If your venture is to go under the banks can repossess anything under the corporations name. Everything in your name bought with the livable wage or taxes/bonuses paid to yourself is free from the reach of the bank. You pay the bank back through the profits the corporation makes. If you pay out of your own pocket you are basically throwing money away that you'll never get back. The system works differently than your average John Doe going down to the bank and asking for a mortgage. It's all basically a secured loan for the bank and an investment for them if the business is to flourish. If the bank only loaned money to people for businesses only on the basis that people could pay back the entire cost of said business, there would be nothing like the scale of businesses you see today in the united states. You can also do things like allow the bank, or investor to have a part of your stock so that they are now a business partner so now they have a vested interest in seeing that corporation succeed and will help manage it if you start to fail. That is if you have a viable business in the first place.

I am going to school to hopefully get into securities law and am currently studying political science and economics in my undergrad. Right now I don't have the time to get things going like I would like to, but when I get out of school or in the next year or so I would like to get some things going. If you think I'm just talking out of my ***, that's fine, continue to be a pessimist and go down the same path as everyone else.

I never said it was a bad thing. I just said it wasn't a "Good debt". If you cant separate those to ideas then you're in trouble.

I'm not talking out of my ***. I'm just being modest with my experience with it. Take it for what it is, quit trying to railroad me without reading everything.

No, I didn't. I had a banking resolution through the local credit union and had to go to more than a few meetings but once they were convinced my idea was viable and I had everything though out and established, they were more than willing to throw money at me. It's all a secured loan, It's not that big of a deal

1-2 million dollar lines of credit are big? It's not like money you get to ---- around with, you have to do something with it.
