Re:SOHC OR DOHC?

DOHC by far, Maybe because I've never been in a Single cam engine that "Wowed" me, or the fact once you drive a B-series FI setup you would never want to go back. Technically speaking DOHC's are the better powerplant, the heads flow better yielding more power out of the Box. (example D16a6 vs DOHC ZC) Now comparing D-series to B-series is a completely different arguement. Just look at the racing world and its pretty obvious to see almost all the engines that are used are B-series. B-series have alot more potentioal than D-series (gotta love vtec), now I'm not saying D-series is bad or anything, but if I wanted "more power" and was really into racing, B-series is just the best way to go.

Lets talk cost issues, B-series are obvisouly way more money. Thats why I always suggest a healthy D w/ a HMT. They are alot of fun and affordable.

People who believe SOHC's are just as good or if not better as DOHC (hondas/acuras) are just ignorant. 2 cams are always better than one.
