I'd go with some gr2's and s-techs. they ride very nice. I mean, my driver's side rear sags more than the rest of the car, ha. JP |
Re: Shocks and HMT's Advice...
ok, what's your budget?
If you're only buying shocks, then get some kyb agx. Those have adjustability and can handle a much lower drop. |

Looking for a smooth, comfortable ride. Last thing I want is stiff aftermarket shocks bouncing me around or stock shocks that make me wonder why I wasted extra money on aftermarket ones. JP |
Re: Shocks and HMT's Advice...
The way it's sounding, you'll be really happy w/ a set of gr2's

Re: Shocks and HMT's Advice...
Mike has a pretty sweet deal on Skunk2 shocks, so does anyone have an opinion about these or run them before? If not, I'll probably snatch them up.

Dropzone shocks come preblown.
Just ask my buddy ^-^ |
Re: Shocks and HMT's Advice...
After all is said and done I went with and installed with Daddi-0 a set of:
Skunk2 Sport Shocks Yeap, Mike has a really good deal on them and I decided to go with that after his advice (along with yours of course, HMT). Thanks guys, I'm pretty pleased with them. They ARE a little stiffer, but nothing dramatic and I DO live in PA and I believe its "statistically proven by statistics that prove" that PA has the worst roads out of the normal 48. :y PA people will vouche for sucky roads, ha. None-the-less it's more of a quick jolt than a constant cut spring bouncy ride if/when you hit a bump. My tires suck and squeal, but man a new set a shocks did wonders in the bends. No body roll and just a tight on track turn and would be much better if I didn't roll on nice, tall All-Seasons. :1 Got a chance to race on them and I pre-loaded most of my runs so the issue with weight transfer really wasn't there; however, it does help and is noticable banging the gears later and not completely melting tires away from a sagging rear. I'd give it about an 8.5 out of 10 though because I like smooth rides and I live in PA so sometimes the smooth cruising isn't always an option. None-the-less, I'm pleased. Thanks again for all the input fellows and I'd definitly recommend these for a budget set-up on your blown suspension. JP |
