I had some ground control knockoff's on my 95si, and tokico blues with them. Thing was comfortable and rode great.

I was thinking about blues or any cheap strut really, but the srpings formy ef are going to drop the car 1.9 in the front and 1.8 in the rear, which is kinda low, so I don't want to buy some cheap struts that will just blow out after a year. I'm still undecided on what to get really.

Keep in mind, most older honda suspension is crap and worn out anyways, and there's a big difference between riding old worn out ---- and new stock suspension. New shocks, something stock-ish like KYB gr2's (close to stock replacments like BBKA said) would probably feel pretty good on the hole, and perform decent.

I did a set of H & R SoftSports with a set of Tokico Blues on a 90 CRX SI for a co-worker. He loves the way that thing rides and drives now. Lower was only about .75" drop, which was perfect for that car really.

Thanks a ton for all the advice and imput guys. Good point about just getting rid of decade plus old shocks. :S Never thought about that. I think (since I'm not a BIG weekend warrior) I'd prefer comfort over the added options of stiffness and what not.

So with that said. We've narrowed it down fellas!

KYB GR2's
Tokico Blues
Skunk2's

Between those three, and the cheapest are GR2's on eGay and most expensive I believe are (about equal at around $40 more) the remaining two. OR throw in another option, but VERY good point about stock replacement and having old shocks. :P I tend to forget that my car is 10 years old. :-X

i would advice against the tokico blue, they seem to be really hit and miss. i had a set on my old toyota and the first one went around 10k miles with realatively easy driving. i installed a set on my friends civic and the left rear only lasted about 1k miles. that being said a friend of mine has a set on his DA that have lasted 25k+

Thought the warranty was lifetime?
