Dru, the bottom line is you don't have any points that relate to what I was saying because your a white democrat. White democrats hate the white man. I can't tell you why, they just do.
The fine line that everyone is talking about is that this country is made of many different people, and many different cultures. The line is devided by how much culture you express in your daily life vs. how much American culture you should gain in your day to day life. We accept all different cultures and we pride ourselves on being able to find bomb *** mexican/italian/ect food, and activities wherever you want, but the thing that bothers me is that this same acceptance of cultures is also hurting our AMERICAN culture/traditions/ect.
It seems that while we have been embracing everyone elses ways of life, we have also let those ways of life dominate the way we used to do things. We like your food, and you can throw a party on any random Thursday to celebrate whatever holiday it might be in the country you left to come here, but when we are forced to learn your language in our neighborhood in order to speak, than that's where the line is drawn (for me.)
And bambooseven can say there were 2 mexican guys standing in Los Angeles in 1492, but the fact is that AMERICANS made the land what it is today, so if you're country sucks so damn bad that you want to come here to have a better life, we welcome you (through a legal process), but don't say that we have to learn your language because you came here, we don't have to offer you any special services when you don't teach your 3rd generation our language, and you must make an effort to become an American. I wouldn't go to Mexico and try to make the people there learn English to talk to me, and I wouldn't hang my fucken flag in my front yard. Remember why you came here and make something of it.
And I like the way that Raffi is looked at as a "sellout" because he made ---- happen. I guess you've lost all your culture just because you move up to the east side of town and don't use a clothesline to marinate carne asada.
Do what you do, and at the end of life look back and tell yourself, "this is what I was worth." You get out what you put in, and people get what they deserve.

Yes we all have our point of views but thats what makes us fucnction.If we were all the same this would be a boring ------- world.As long as we dont hurt anyone physicaly,we are fee to express what we feel.

from reading these posts i read someone say there are alot of hispanics in north carolina,indiana,kentucky. are there alot of spanish people where you guys live? cause if there are then we're taking over, so eat ---- and die

the only thing that bothers me about mexican immigrants, whether legal or illegal, is that alot of them wont learn english. i dont give a ----, if you come to this country you had better learn or at least make an effort to learn english. what pisses me off is when mexicans get pissed off because you wont speak spanish to them. i can understand alot of spanish when i hear it, but when it comes to speaking i have a hard time remembering the words. so when somebody asks me a question in spanish, and i give them the correct response in english, they get all pissy and ----. if anything i should be the one getting pissed off.
other minorities take the time to learn english, whether it is before or after they get here. how many times have you seen filipinos or asians who flat out REFUSE to learn or speak english after living here for years? same thing with ethiopians and other africans, arabs and hindus. almost all of them that i meet learn english if they have lived here for any amount of time, whereas alot of mexicans will live here for twenty years and not speak a ------- word of english.
other than the language barrier, i dont really give a ----. i hate all races equally :P .
back on topic, i hate mexican circus music... but i would rather listen to that than country music or some headbanging whiteboy ---- anyday.

the answer to your problem is down the street at the nearest pawnshop. Go buy the biggest home stereo speakers and blast that beaner out of the water. i have nothing against mexi's but i usto live on the westside of chicago and i know what ya mean. its funny they all walk around listen to that carnival music and drinkin corona. also their little mom and pop mexi restraunts are awesome, for $4 you can get a pile of nachos thats at least 2 meals.
