Look man, you need to take advice from people who actually own these cars.
To me, my WRX is worth every penny of the 16k I paid for it. very smooth and driveable car. It's easy to have fun in it even without dumping a ton of money into it.
FWD for the loss....

But I hear the trannys are their weak links. AWD should be fun though. RSX has pimptastic interior and is pretty quick for a stock n/a motor (if you're talking about the type-s). I really couldn't say between the rsx and wrx. I guess if i HAD to choose, I would get the rsx-s.
And, Fookster? It's a Daimler Neon, duh.

WRX is a nice car, but slow as ----. RSX is slow too. I'm not gonna vote yet, but I lean more towards the WRX. And yes the trannies are ----. I say you look into a used STI, it'll be a few thousand more outta your price range, but the upgrades are def worth the extras.
