350!!! Damn local yard charges 75 for trannies and 150 for any longblock. 4G's are hard to find in the yards here though :-\

Eh, MM transmissions are good for "300 whp" in their usually found configuration: 2100-2300 lb pickup with no weight in the ass end so wheelspin keeps the transmission from dying super quick. You put that into a 2500 lb Z car and will reap the unreliability of a couple hundred extra lbs and a whole lot more hook.

I say run the Supra transmission. It's ------- cake to make over 300 off a stock 1G 4G63, a local DSMtard with a bad attitude did 362 off an AFC and now thinks his 3600 lb convertible is god, if that guy can do it there is no reason you can't do it and then some. You'll need a decent transmission to lay that power down.

this is a good point i've only seen it done in the trucks nuthing else. my buddy had one in phoenix he did spin alot but still pulled pretty good total sleeper. there use to be a good video on the net with some guy who did the 4g63 swap on a 4x4 mighty max i'll try to find it

Once you see a gutted sawzalled 2400-2500lb Eclipse/Laser/Talon handing out ass from a dig and not tearing up transmissions you come to the startling conclusion that less weight is easier on the drivetrain.

:)

If only the mitsu engineers couldn't of realized that....some engineers. ::) Would of been better off sticking the drivetrain from the Stealth/3000Gt. But I'm selling leftover ---- from the L28 like hotcakes since I posted it just yesterday. So this week I should be able to buy my bell housing. >:D Picking up my complete longblock and wiring harness in a few hours. ProjectzeroG.com is becoming extremely handy with all the info there. ALot of it is Conquest guys though with narrowblock 4G's though. Bitchass...that MM with 4G is on there not to mention like 2 guys with 4G powered E30 beemers.

Not to mention finding a mighty max in a junkyard. Their not the most common thing in the junkyard around here atleast. I have a bigger clutch selection. Yeah the D50 came in a few more models I'm just not a big fan of it though. I'd rather pay a little more and get something decent that has more support. One more hour till I pick up my 4G! Can't tell that I'm easily amused by simple things. lol.

I really like where this project is going.4G63 is a great motor if you turf everything surronding it,Toyota tranny and all in a old Z car.I think that is close to a perfect combo. :y I think the Toyota tranny is a good way to go they are dime a dozen and should hold at least 400hp i think. How much power you planning on making?
