ANSWER:thanks, the o-ringing is done by cutting a groove/channel around the top of the sleeve which the wire will fit into. it has to be precise so that the wire only protrudes .006-.008 about the deck.the copper wire was purchased from golden eagle. its 18 gauge.you still need to you use a headgasket but with this method you will almost NEVER blow a headgasket. if you pull the head its recommended that you do replace the wire.


Are those Honda rod bearings going to be alright not to spin? Are they like aftermarket rod bearings or are you just using NEW OEM ones?

ANSWER: all bearings are oem honda. they will not spin. they are better than generic one size fits all aftermarket bearings. this way you can always get proper clearance because not all the journal and caps are uniform some are bigger some are smaller and the aftermarket bearings are all one size you can't mix and match. my engine used honda b yellow,b pink, and b greens to achieve proper oil clearance.

Sorry for all the n00b questions, but I'm really interested in this build and your approach. Good luck and I think 300whp is obtainable even with the 48/60.
