You don't think the msd 6a.... boxes do anything? I always kind of thought that after the first spark happened that the resulting flame would be much more significant in igniting fuel than an additional spark after the fact.

I agree that the analog box is Garbage, I've been using a 6a for a while and I had to carry 5 extra igniters with me,I keep burning them up, thats why I switch to the msd distributor, but it disappointed me.
so now I am going with a accel digital setup, I have no love for msd anymore. the accel specs looks even better than the msd. hopefully I won't be making a thread saying accel sucks in the future.

I had the same setup your looking at, they can be found on ebay for $200 shipped. I blew it up on a d16 turbo.

Fixed. The JDM motor owns the A1, and the A4 has bigger mains... the A1 is junk

the question is will stock hold 600+ whp without issue?,
so far its holding 440whp , maybe at 500whp since I've raised the boost since the last dyno.
maybe I should push it to the limit whatever that is. we will see though, I am not too confident in the stock ignition. I am also setup to use nitrous I really don't wanna take any chance.

I know stock will do 550, but the components have to be fresh. I'm a big fan of an external Blaster coil - they are no better than stock, but they cost less than a new/fresh stocker and when removed from the heat of the distributor they last a bit longer.

I am really confused with this choice right now. stay stock save some money, and maybe it will support my goal. or buy aftermarket and get disapointed, burn up some igniters.

on a side note I found out why MSD stuff or hit or miss. they are made in china, sweat shop ingition FTW.
