request higher limits (some let you do it online)...if i remember right it doesnt show up negatively on your report if they deny you an increase. I dont have a very long credit history so they dont all agree, but some have raised my limits.

Credit scores blow ass. My wife and I are getting into our new house in a couple days. I have a car payment paid on time (last year or so) Then the house payments from my old place. About 5 years ago I got into some trouble, and yes all fees and crap got caught up, I hate mortage companies(they want you to default on the loan). Anyways I have like a 650 score. One more thing you can't have cash anymore not even a couple grand BULL ----.
My wife has a couple credit cards, car payment, student loans, personal loan, and even my car loan is on there. And she has a 735.

Credit scores suck ass and I will never care about it again. Well until I buy a different house.

Go into debt and your score goes up, be cheap and pay cash and your credit score will be ---- forever.

Oh yeah. Any loan company will be actually reading the report. Things like Credit cards that you are approved for on the spot or over the internet will sometimes go through easily because it might just look at scores.

What do you mean? When i applied for my loan they told me they wanted to see $$ in my bank account (not exactly paper cash but still) rather than me using it to pay off my credit cards.

Thats sort of the point...managing debt is what proves that you can handle debt i guess. Never borrowing means that you have no experience borrowing (ie: having some $$ in your bank account and no credit cards doesnt mean youre ready for a 200k home loan). If this was 1850 then having stacks of cash would be enough to prove you knew how to handle money, but not now. Im no pro, but i guess we all have to be what the banks consider to be "model borrowers" if we want loans.
