i bought a newer car a while back, let a friend use it and he wreaked it, said he hit black ice when it was 45+ out :S, but i found after i had them check my car out for insurance and had them tow it away, when i went to get a quad they said i had a repo on my credit report, so i was turned down. i was told to stop making payments i had 750 before this and now i have 532 because of the repo on my record, also insurance only covered most of it, and the bank is requesting me to pay the remainder. its like 50 a month, should i try to make some agreement with them? and can it be changed, my credit was perfect until this, and i want to buy a house within the next 5 years. would like some advice... this is gay, and id like to figure out how to make it decent again. any help would be appreciated. thanks alot

Thanks for that link above, I've been reading through it, I really like this part:
You have the right to dispute any information contained on your credit report. This is done by writing the CRA, or using the dispute form on their website. The CRA then is required to verify that information with the furnisher. They have 30 days by law to do so. If such information cannot be verified, it must be deleted. Note that whether the account is "really" yours or not has no bearing on their responsibility to verify it. If it cannot be verifed, it must be deleted. Period. |

I am in the process of getting things squared away with my credit right now. man it would have been so much easier just to not ---- it up before.

so where do you go to look and make sure u have nothing on your credit report? i paid ---- off a while ago and my score was 560
