The engine is based on a heavily reworked version of the 4.4L M60 found in the 540i. It features individual throttle bodies hidden under a top air cover

:p

Re:Mugen Accord

also as much as i like the mugen engine, it does say "one off race car" so 590hp at 9500rpms out of a 4liter is probably not "pump gas friendly" to say the least, though i will have to say mugen is known for their aerodynamic and win tunnel proven and tested body styling, i wouldnt be suprised if it was better than the corvette in that aspect

and as far as honda making a v8, why? the nsx is a small v6 making v8 like HP i say stick with what they know, high reving big street cams (vtec) and great flowing head/intake combinations on 4s and 6s, they can always dominate the v8 segment later ;)

hey did anyone catch the last sports compact where the guy in england built the 390hp v8 out of 2 hybusa engines? 2.4L making that kinda power and they said it only weighed 200lbs :o :o

heres a quote from the site

Second bike V8…….is a 2.6-litre and comes from leading low volume sportscar manufacturer Radical Sportscars and is formed from a pair of Suzuki Hayabusa GSX-R1300 engines. It’s called the RPA V8 and in bench tests has produced over 380bhp, with 207lb/ft torque at just 6000rpm. It weighs in at 95kg compared to the RST’s 74kg, but has a very narrow ‘Vee’ angle making it extremely compact. Both engines will suit a whole raft of kitcars and even Lotus Elise, priced from £18,800. More on the RPA in TRIED & TESTED this week. To hear the Radical RPA V8 running CLICK HERE
