my b18a block has a sensor on the back of the block... by the oil pressure sensor... and on the b18b block there is just a big plug there. whats the deal with that...

As already discussed johnny, That is the Fan switch on the back of the OBD0 B18a block. The OBD1/2 B18b blocks dont have it there, But the plug/spot is there. If you dont have a socket to take that ---- off, the obd1/2 uses the fan switch right off the radiator hosing (off the back) its a 2 pin brown plug. You just need to extend the wires from the back of the block to that sensor (and find a connector that will go on) the wires can be either way, so no big deal.

and btw B18a/b's & B20's dont have knock sensors.

ahh thanks jeff, i was wonderin why those werent used on the radiator... i think i'll just switch the plugs like projkteg did that would be easier i think. i dont really want to cut and solder and extent wires :/
