i have heard they are bad about snapping crankshafts, but i could be wrong. never seen it for myself

327 and a powerglide? Don't even bother.

You can pick up 350 4 bolt mains all day long no matter where you live. I know some people love the powerglides, but I think they suck. Sell your car, sell your turbo kit...then go buy an S-10 and drop in a 350 or stroke it to a 383 with a 700r4 tranny.

Powerglides are a cheap way to transfer some power in a drag car, but their gearing sucks for fun streetcars.

But maybe I happened to get the only 3 bad ones out there, straight from GM, and maybe it was just my bad luck that none of them would shift into third. Maybe it doesn't matter if all the check ***** are installed when it's assembled. Maybe GM can suck my dick.
