How much gov't is too much and how much is too little?
If consumers are concerned about "Al Queido" they can enlist in the military and go after them. It's the government's job to direct the military towards the right people in the right places. We must have done something right because we haven't suffered a serious terrorist attack since 9/11.

It's the consumer's job to protect themselves from those that would take advantage of them financially. The best tool available to consumers to avoid being taken advantage of is financial education. The problem with that is that most people don't receive any financial education in high school, and those that do realize that you don't need a high paying job to succeed in life. If you're interested in financial education you should check out www.richdad.com .

Johnny has it right about how much is too much and how much is too little. Our problem right now is too much, we've got the government spending more money every year - and not just the federal government, it's the state governments too. If you follow the NYSE at all, you no doubt know what's going on with Fannie and Freddie. The two biggest mortgage companies in our country are getting fucked by all these bad loans and foreclosed properties they can't liquidate fast enough, and they're wanting a government bail out.

These are publicly traded companies, what do you think is going to happen if the government bails them out? Do a little research on it, and look at both of those stocks over the past month or so.

WE have to come to a basic conclusion a very large percentage of homes people got loans on they never paid a penny into. That is what allowed the insane pricing to happen. Pricing will go back to what its suppose to do prior to this. Have a down payment which most people cant save up for and a rock solid credit history.

Americans are has bad has their government. Our generation and our parents believe we should have it all without having the income nor background to have it. Somewhere down the line living simple in a small home isnt good enough for the average American anymore.

Cheney could have saved the demo crew a few headaches by taking out the rest of the Oklahoma City building too. I mean, that bastard building had it's face blown off and still didn't fall. Where was the old Dick then?

Pretty sure the president didn't have much to do with that. It's not his job to regulate that, it's the bank's job to not approve the consumer for more than he can afford, and it's the consumer's job to be financially responsible. Guess what, both the bank and the consumer failed at their jobs, and that graph reflects it.
That and home builders making excessive profits on new homes.New 1700 sq foot houses in my area are finally back to what they were in 2000-2001.I understand making a profit but they also fucked the banks and people with that ----.
