what about being a car salesmen. its THE biggest kept secret in the world. My friend works @ a local Hyundai/Mitsu/Subi dealership....... its rediculous the amount of money he makes just for selling cars.

makes 25% of what the dealership makes on each car
Right now selling 15 to 20 cars a month he is on track to make $70+ a year. With no college education.
And the people who have been there and have built up a client list, and have alot of referals easily make $110k+ a year.
The top sales men @ his dealership is a 23 year old kid who drives a S/C'd C5 Z06 and has his own house. He just sells cars & thats it.
Gets Factorty bonuses for selling cars with options on them
Sell 20 cars in your first month you get a $2k bonus.

im going to be joining him soon @ hte dealership once i get outta H.S. but i will be attending a state college as well.

Selling cars suck, you either lie to or hold the hands of tards.

Every successful car salesman I've met worked 50+ hours a week and got calls all hours of the day. I don't mind working all the time, but flapping my gums isn't work, and the phone ringing all the damn time would drive me batty.

25% of what the stealership makes? you mean their profit? they prob make about 1k on each car or less profit. if he made 25% of the total cost of the car the dealership would be out o fbuisness after about 10 cars sold

Tried the salesman thing. It sucks *** because in order to make any real money, you gotta work high end cars and deal with ***** *** yuppies all day long. ---- that. Ill spin wrenches in my grease pit all day. At least there I can curse and play music as loud as I want. lol.

Not to mention stealership salesppl are some of the most fucked up individuals ive ever seen.

I dont lie about anything though, "it is what it is, if you want it buy it", is kinda where I'm at. I do sell Toyotas though, so its not usually a real tough sell.

I'm glad I tried it but I'm a about finished with it. Mabey Il go back to making signs.

This is also true, the enviroment breeds weirdness though.

i would have to agree. i wa cruising around the dealerships in burlington, and i saw a black EP Si. i dont know why, but ive always wanted one. so, i stopped to tak ea quick looksee. i think the sticker price was 17,500. the salesman was on me like a fly on ----. i mean, i turned around and he was right there. he was all friendly, and wanted me to take a drive. so i did. i got up an moved pretty decent, but i wasnt too impressed. i hit redline 1st and 2nd, and hit vtec in third. already doing 70+. he goes, "god damn this thing quick!!". so we get back to the lot. and he takes me through the financing speel. i told him im already financing an s-10 pick-up. he pulled my credit report, and it didnt show up. he wanted me to get it for 365 a month, with nothin down. total price: a little over 15k. i told him, yeah right, my insurance will be pretty much the same. i told him id check with my insurance, to see how much itd be, and id call him back. i never did, though

cliffnotes: went to look at a 04 civic si, drove it. dissapointed, i pretty much told the salesman to get fucked
