Dell says you should set your display mode to 800x600, and 16-bit color. Then re-start display settings, and click Advanced. Set your TV as Primary and LCD as Secondary. (Get to display settings by right clicking anywhere on the desktop and choosing "properties")

Try pressing Fn+F8

I gotta go to class now but we'll figure this ---- out. Have you tried calling Dell? Those people in India are computer whizzes ;)

If I could understand any of those mother fuckers I'd probably give them a call. You have no idea how much it pisses me off when I call to get customer service and the mother fucker doesn't speak English. >:( I just want to shoot somebody over the phone. Besides, I don't think Dell is too happy with me. I'd have to say they would deny any sort of customer service I asked for. ;) :-\

UPDATE:
My computer woke up the other day and figured out something new was hooked up. A pop-up came up and ran me through the installation and I changd the channel on the VCR and it worked. :D The problem is I can't watch videos for some reason. Everything I see on my computer screen is on the TV, but when I try to watch any videos it's just a black screen. ??? I can see everything else. ???

If you play the video in a window, will everything around the video window show up fine and inside the video window it's just black? If you do full screen is the whole screen black?

Re: How do I connect my computer to my stereo?

Yeah, everything except the actual video. If I go full screen it just goes all black. All the other ---- on the screen is there.

Hmm I've never had that happen. Try using a different video player and let me know what happens
